Food! Friends! Fun! Dancing! Live Music!

The 1st Annual Mediterranean Festival of Bend is being held Sunday, June 29 at the Sons of Norway Hall. There will be Greek and Middle Eastern food, vendors of exotic merchandise and performances of belly dancing, flamenco and international folk dancing, with both live and pre-recorded music. $4 donation requested. *Kids 12 and under free!

Free ice cold bottled water!

Special FREE bellydance class for little belly dancers, taught by Rasha.

Belly dancing by Rasha, Zweena bint Asya, Leyla and Gypsy Fire.

Flamenco dancing exhibition performed by Fiesta Flamenca, as taught by Audrey Adams, with guitarist: Sam Bennett.

International folk dancing by the Kumpania Folk Dance Group, a local group that performs Greek, Balkan and other folk dances weekly.

The Band

Live belly dancing music provided by a newly formed band with no name, featuring belly dance music from Eastern Europe and the Middle East, performed by:

Dave Adams on oud (a fretless guitarlike instrument),
Audrey Adams on keyboard and tambourine,
Sam Bennett on Spanish guitar and bass guitar,
Randy Smith on doumbek (drum),
Dave Goodman on doumbek.
